What is home education?
Home education is a term used to describe parents taking responsibility for their children's education by teaching them at home. In reality much of what we do doesn't happen at home but out in the wider world. We have used the term home education rather than homeschooling because a lot of what we do does not look like school more

Identity cards for this term are now being processed and will be returned to those who have applied during the first week of May. Applications for the rest of the year should be made by 4 July and 26 September. You can download your application from the Yahoo!Files area or contact us to be emailed or posted the form. We are only able to issue ID cards to paid up members of WHSA who have an exemption certificate.
The first library day for Term 2 will be Friday, 9 May and the administrators will also meeting on that day if there are any items you wish to bring to their attention. Library hours are 12 noon to 2 pm and you can find directions to the library in the Yahoo!Files area. Please remember the Library is a private home so please confine your wanderings and those of your children to the library area, the toilet and the back lawn away from any building work.
Fiona and Liz have done a marvellous job of the library catalogue. Check the library page to find up to date lists of materials available at the library.
