Wellington Home Education Network is a society incorporated under New Zealand law to support home educators and encourage home education as an educational choice in New Zealand. We are governed by rules registered under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908. Please read our rules before you join.

Privacy Statement
WHEN collects personal information to enable home educating families to make contact with each other and to comply with the requirements of the Incorporated Societies Act. We will disclose your name, the names and ages of your children, your address, telephone number and email address and the style of home education you use to other members of WHEN by way of a published list unless you indicate on your membership form or by subsequent written request that any or all of those details remain confidential. Any address list we publish to members will include a notice that the information is supplied for member use only and will include a request that the no details be disclosed to anyone who is not a member of WHEN. We will ensure any other details you supply are stored securely and are not disclosed to anyone other than the WHEN administrators. You have a right to inspect and correct any information we hold about you. If you wish to exercise this right please contact the Membership Secretary.
